Five local athletes have been nominated for First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week honors.

This week's nominees are Ian Meserve of Hermon, Camille Kohtala of Orono, Silver Clukey of Winslow, Kyle Burger-Roy of MCI and Isaiah Schooler of Lawrence.

Here's how each athlete performed last week

Camille Kohtala of Orono helped lead the Red Riots to a Class C North title at Troy A. Howard Middle School in Belfast last Saturday. She placed first in the event with a time of 20:04.00. It was a dominant performance by Kohtala and the Red Riots, as teammates Erin Gerbi, Julia White and Nora White all finished inside the top 10.

Silver Clukey of the Winslow field hockey team scored two goals as the Black Raiders upset Foxcroft Academy, 2-1, in a Class B North semifinal matchup last Friday. Clukey scored the game-winner with 16:12 left in regulation. Winslow will play Gardiner in the regional finals at Thomas College on Wednesday.

Ian Meserve of Hermon led his team to a first-place finish in the Class B North regional championship race in Belfast last weekend. It was Hermon's second straight regional title. Meserve placed third in the event with a time of 17:20.80.

Kyle Burger-Roy of MCI kicked a go-ahead 21-yard field goal in overtime as the Huskies edged Nokomis at the Alumni Field Athletic Complex in Pittsfield last Friday. MCI took a 24-21 lead on Burger-Roy's kick in the extra session. After the field goal, Tyler Staples intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal the victory for the Huskies.

Isaiah Schooler of Lawrence rushed for 91 yards and scored three times in the Bulldogs' triumph over Messalonskee last Friday at Colby College in Waterville. Schooler averaged 7.0 yards per carry in the Bulldogs' 34-14 victory. Lawrence finishes the regular season at 4-4.

Voting is restricted to once every 24 hours. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.
