Husson University student-athlete Ben Walls (Bar Harbor, ME) is one of seven finalists for the North Atlantic Conference Man of the Year Award. The award goes to a graduating student who has excelled in athletics, academics, service and leadership.

On the baseball diamond, Walls was named to the NAC All-Conference team as a pitcher and was named to the New England All-Region team.

In the classroom, he earned his degree in Sport Management and is working on his graduate degree in Business Administration. Walls served as a class leader for marketing and advertising as an undergraduate. He has also been a youth baseball and basketball coach.

The winner of the NAC Man of the Year will be announced in late July.

NOTE: UMaine Farmington two sport student-athlete Sean Cabaniss (Vassalboro, ME) is also one of the seven finalists for the award...Maine Maritime Academy's Chris Gilman (Old Town, ME) won the 2016 Man of the Year Award.
