UNH Beats Maine 41-27
Maine football season came to an end Saturday afternoon when UNH spoiled the Bears first ever home playoff game 41-27. Details coming....
- Maine is making its 7th NCAA playoff appearance. The last time was 2011 when the Bears won at App State and the lost at Georgia Southern the following week.
- QB Marcus Wasilewski has passed for 3,009 yards this season - second best all time. Warren Smith threw for 3,122 yards in the 2011 season.
- The game marks the 102nd time Maine and UNH have played each other. The Wildcats lead the series 50-43-8, including 10 of the last 11.
- THe Bears have 5,158 total yards of offense this season. It's a new school record surpassing the old mark of 4,661 back in 1989.
- The winner of this game faces the winner of Sam Houston St vs SE Louisiana.
