Who Will The Eagles Play In The NCAAs?

The (19-9) Husson Eagles will find out today who and where they will be in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. It will be a third straight appearance for Coach Kissy Walker's program.

The #3 seeded Eagles had to win a home quarterfinal playoff game to get to the NAC final four weekend and then defeated Colby-Sawyer and Maine Maritime Academy for the conference title.

Sami Ireland scored 21 and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Eagles in the championship game. Kenzie Worcester added 15 and moved into third place on the Husson all-time school scoring list with 1.334 points.

A year ago, the Eagles won their first ever NCAA playoff game (DeSales) before losing to nationally ranked Tufts.

St. Joseph's College and nationally ranked Bowdoin will also be other Maine schools in the D-III field.
