Will He Be Opening Day CF?

John Farrell talked Grady Sizemore and other lineup items issues with reporters before today's spring training game. Jon Lester then went to the hill and showed again that he is more than ready for opening day.

Lester threw 5.2 innings against the Phillies Friday afternoon. He face 21 batters, giving up no runs, 4 hits, one walk and struck out five. Lester's spring ERA is  0.71.

The Sox and Phillies played to a 2-2 10-inning tie.

Before the game, manager John Farrell talked more about Grady Sizemore and the growing possibility that he will be the opening day centerfielder. The plan is to have Sizemore play in four or five straight games in Florida to see if is durability is there.
