Knuckleballer Steven Wright gave up eight runs in 4.2 innings and a shaky Robbie Ross Jr. were the big issues in the Red Sox 9-8 loss to the Detroit Tigers last night. The Sox wake up this morning in third place in the AL East.

Wright struggled from the start - nine hits, three walks and his ERA goes up to 3.12.

The pitching woes spoil two comebacks by the Sox offense.
