The Brewer Witches used their ground and pound game to beat the Bangor Rams 22-0 in the Friday night exhibition game at Doyle Field.

It's the second straight year the Witches have beaten the Rams in the preseason tester.

Tyler Hafford opened the scoring with 6:40 left in the first quarter. He ran back a 41-yard punt return. The two-point conversion was good for an 8-0 Brewer lead.

The score the same until early in the third quarter when fullback Garrett Ireland scored on a 4-yard run. The two-point play failed but the Witches led 14-0.

Meanwhile, Bangor's offense sputtered all night, gaining less than 100 total yards.

Fullback Trey Wood scored the game's final touchdown on a 1-yard run. Add on the two-point conversion and that's how it ended, 22-0.
