The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees paused before their crucial game last night to honor the late Yankee great Yogi Berra and then battled for nine innings. The Blue Jays shut down the Yanks 4-0 to extend their lead in the AL East to 3.5 games with a week and a half left in the season.

Marcus Stroman threw seven shutout innings and Russell Martin delivered the key home run late.
