The UMaine men's basketball team dropped its final home of the season 63-60 to the Hartford Hawks despite 22 points from freshman Kevin Little.

The loss drops the Black Bears to 2-13 in America East and 3-25 overall.

Before the game, the lone senior, Zarko Valjarevic was honored. He played 39 minutes, getting eight point and one rebound.

Maine out rebounded the Hawks by 10 and scored 14 more points in the paint than Hartford. But, the Hawks bench out scored Maine 26-4.

A Kevin Little layup pulled the Bears to within one at 60-59 with 10-seconds to go but the Hawks nailed free throws down the stretch to hold on.

The Hawks will be the fifth seed in the upcoming AE tourney, now 7-8 and 14-14 overall.

Maine finishes the regular season at UNH on Sunday.
