Isaiah Thomas scored 20 points, Tyler Zeller matched a career-high with 26 points and the Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks 124-109 Friday night at TD Garden.

The Bucks led the Celtics 35-30 at the end of the first quarter, but the game was won in the second and third quarters, when Boston outscored Milwaukee 71-45.

Zeller's performance snapped Isaiah Thomas' franchise-record streak of 17 games as the team's leading scorer, but Thomas still shot the ball well, going 7-of-9 from the field and 1-of-2 from 3-point range.

Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk each scored 16 points and Jared Sullinger added 15 points for the Celtics.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 27 points and Jabari Parker scored 18 points for the Bucks. Milwaukee falls to 32-47, the fourth-worst record in the Eastern Conference.

With just 3 regular-season games remaining, the Celtics are 47-32 and tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the No. 3 seed in the East. The Celtics and Hawks will play each other Saturday night in Atlanta.

A positive side-effect of finishing as the No. 3 seed: avoiding LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.
