1 UMaine Player, 62 College Players In NHL Draft

One incoming UMaine hockey recruit and 61 college or college bound players were selected in the NHL Draft. LW Nolan Vesey was taken in the the 6th round (#156 overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Vesey is a 6-1 185-pound forward from North Reading, Massachusetts.

In all, 63 college players or incoming college recruits were drafted.

Among Hockey East schools, Boston College and Boston University led with 5 draftees each. Two incoming BC players taken in the first round. Goalie Thatcher Demko was taken in the second round.
