49th Bunyan Golf Leaderboard Day One

No golfer in this year's field has won more Bunyan Amateur titles than Ricky Jones of Thomaston and now he is halfway to winning again. Jones shot a -3 par 67 at Kebo Valley GC in Bar Harbor and holds a two shot lead over Ryan Gay.

Jones has won the Bunyan four times, the last one came in 2007. He birdied #10, #12, #14 and then had 15 pars for his -3 score.

Ryan Gay(Pittston) won the Bunyan in 2010 and 2011.

Defending co-champions Casey Catell and JJ Harris shot +6 and +9, respectively.

Jones and Gay are the only two golfers in red numbers after day one. Sunday play for the A/B flight players shifts to Penobscot Valley CC in Orono.
