Patrice Bergeron had the night of all nights, scoring four goals and getting an assist, as the red hot Boston Bruins pummeled the Carolina Hurricanes 7-1.

Bergeron tied a franchise record for most goals in a game. And, the five point game puts him over the 700 point mark for his career.

The B's are 8-0-2 in the last 10 games.

Ssaturday night's game was over in a hurry - it was 5-1 after one period.

Anton Khudobin made 27 saves to get the win in goal.

The Hurricanes pulled starting goalie Cam Ward after two goals allowed and brought in former UMaine goalie Scott Darling. He allowed the last five Bruins goals on 28 shots.

The B's are 23-10-6 and play in Pittsburgh tonight.
