For a second straight Friday night, Boston Celtics boss Danny Ainge was in Portland to watch his NBA D-League team the Maine Red Claws. And for a second straight week, the C's sent players to Portland to get in some work.

The Red Claws beat the Deleware 87ers 111-100. 2,347 folks watched at the Portland Expo, including Ainge, who was there to see Vitor Faverani get some game action. Faverani is the C's backup center. The word is Faverani will stay and play again for the Red Claws tonight when they host Erie.

The Celtics also assigned newly acquired Vander Blue to the Red Claws. He's a guard and recently signed a 10-day contract with the Celtics.
