Talk about your wild swings of offense in a doubleheader. The America East doubleheader between UMaine and UAlbany saw the Great Danes winning the first game 19-3 and the Black Bears winning the second one 16-1.

GAME 1:  UAlbany 19  UMaine 3  The Great Danes scored eight runs in the 3rd inning and nine more in the 6th inning to blow away the Black Bears.

Nick Silva took the loss on the hill for Maine, giving up the first six runs in 2.1 innings. He walked seven batters. The Great Danes outhit the Bears 14-7.

GAME 2:  UMaine 16  UAlbany 1  Talk about a bounce back. Cody Lawyerson and Trevor Delaite combined to hold the Danes to one run and seven hits.

Meanwhile, the Black Bears offense took off, scoring 15 runs in the last three innings. Joe Bramanti had three hits, including a home run and five RBI. Danny Casals had three hits and two RBI.

The split leaves Maine at 7-6 in America East (9-25 overall). UAlbany is 8-9 America East (18-20 overall).
