In NASCAR racing driver are often judged by their ability to finish in the top. From that perspective Ft. Kent's Austin Theriault is performing quite well.Theriault and his #29 Camping World Truck Series team had to deal with rain for most of the day and night but it didn't stop him from finishing 10th at Gateway Motorsports Park.

Rain cancelled qualifying so Theriault began the race 10th as the starting grid was based on their final practice times. Drivers then had to wait out a nearly 2 hour delay before the race started after rain moved through the area again. Once underway Theriault was able to maintain his position near the front of the pack and when the caution flag came out late in the race used the strategy of only taking two tires on the pit stop in order to stay with the leaders.

Despite only appearing in 4 races, Theriault jumped up three spots in the driver standings to #19. Every driver ahead of him has been in all 8 races. Theriault and the series will make their way to Iowa for a race next Friday.
