The Bangor Rams, seeking their fifth consecutive state championship, will face the Oxford Hills Vikings in the Class A North regional final Tuesday night in Augusta.

The game, which will be played at Morton Field, will air on 929TheTicket.com.

The No. 2 Vikings (15-3) have beaten the top-ranked Rams (17-1) twice this season. Oxford Hills beat Bangor 8-5 in their lone regular-season matchup. The Vikings won again, 5-0, in the KVAC Class A championship game.

Bangor did win against Oxford Hills in last year's postseason, a 7-0 triumph in the semifinal round.

"They played well in both games, and you know, we played well the first one. The second one we didn't play quite as well," Bangor Head Coach Dave Morris told 92.9 The Ticket. "That's the beauty of baseball. You play three times. We knew each other very well. We'll be ready, and we'll go out, lay everything on the line and we'll see what happens."

Senior shortstop Zach Ireland, who went four-for-four with a triple, a double and two singles in the Rams' 14-6 win over Lewiston in the semifinals, said the loss to the Vikings in the KVAC championships isn't something he and his teammates spend a lot of time thinking about.

"Obviously, after that game we were just kinda like 'ah shoot,' but honestly I think that we're very confident in ourselves, and when it comes down to the right moment, we're gonna perform," Ireland said.

Tuesday's game begins at 5 p.m.
