Maine hockey got a split with New Hampshire over the weekend and that caused voters to move the Bears down slightly in national polls. Perhaps most importantly, Maine's PairWise ranking is tied for #20.

Six Hockey East teams now rank ahead of the Black Bears in the PairWise rankings. Keep in mind, 16 team make the NCAA field. Boston College is tops from HE at the #2 spot in the nation.

Maine fell just out of the top 20 USCHO poll and will be idle this weekend. Next on schedule is a two game series at Notre Dame February 7 and 8.

HE Notes...Maine's Devin Shore has been named Hockey East Player of the Week. The sophomore had a goal and three assists vs UNH. It is the third time this season Shore has won the award.
