William & Mary put a serious dent into UMaine football and its hopes to win a CAA conference title. The Tribe outscored the Black Bears 13-3 in the second half to knock off Maine 27-20.

It's the first CAA loss for the Bears (3-1, 4-3). William & Mary is now 2-2 and 3-4.

Kenny Doak did boot two more field goals, one from 25-yards and one from 40-yards.

But the Bears scored only one offensive touchdown, a 24-yard run by Ramon Jefferson. The other TD was a fumble recovery by the defense.

Maine led 17-14 at the half but William & Mary scored 13 unanswered  points in the second half.

Bears QB Chris Ferguson was 26-for-46, 278 yard but no TDs and three interceptions.

Maine will host UAlbany next week at Alfond Stadium.
