The UMaine and Husson football teams had no problems scoring points and were able to cruise to wins on the road Saturday afternoon.The UMaine Black Bears took out the Albany Great Danes 39-7 for their first road win of the season while the Husson Eagles scored early and often on their way to a 46-7 win at Anna Maria.

The Bears quickly scored 20 first quarter points on a Dan Collins touchdown pass and run along with a Nigel Beckford 1 yard plunge.

Maine could only manage a couple field goals until the 4th quarter when Drew Belcher took over the offense and threw touchdown passes to Micah Wright of 33 yards and an 11 yard strike to Jaleel Reed.

The Bears improve to 2-3 and return to Alfond Stadium next week for their homecoming game against Yale.

Husson University improved to 32-0 in the ECFC with a 46-7 blowout of Anna Maria. Sophomore running back John Smith powered his way to 258 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on just 26 carries.

For the second week in a row quarterback Joe Seccareccia threw 3 touchdown passes and finished the day 10-20 for 164 yards and 1 interception.

The Eagles defense entered the game as the 6th ranked defense in the nation and hheld the AMCATS to just 131 total yards of offense.

Husson is now 3-1 overall and will host Becker College next Saturday at the Winkin Complex.
