Mainer Isaiah Bess and his Stonehill Skyhawks are heading to the Division II Elite Eight after beating St. Anselm's 82-76 in overtime to capture the regional championship in Philadelphia.

It will be Stonehill's third trip to the NCAA D-II Elite Eight. That championship tournament runs from March 23rd through the 26th in Frisco, Texas.

Stonehill(24-8) will meet West Liberty University(30-3) from West Virginia at 3:30pm on the 23rd.

In last night's regional title game, Bess, who played his high school ball at Penquis Valley and Hampden Academy,  scored 14 and had 5 rebounds in 33 minutes of play.

Former Nokomis HS player Chris Braley had 14 points and 10 rebounds for St. Anselm's.
