Bessey, McCrum, Esposito Fitzy Finalists

The list of possible 2015 Fitzpatrick Trophy winners is down to three - Will Bessey, Austin McCrum and Joe Esposito.

Chairman of the Fitzpatrick Trophy committee, Jack Dawson, released the names to the Maine Sunday Telegram today.

Will Bessey is the Brunswick running back who rushed for 1,569 yards and 20 TDs.

Austin McCrum is the Thornton Academy quarterback who guided the Golden Trojans to a second straight state title. McCrum threw for 1,956 yards and 20 TDs. He also rushed for another 4 TDs.

Joe Esposito is the Portland running back who scored 28 TDs and 1,606 yards. He also led Class A North with 95 tackles as a linebacker.

The 45th Fitzy Award banquet is January 24th.
