The Maine Black Bear football team finishes the year as the #12 team in the country in the final Sports Network FCS nationwide poll. The Bears finished with a 10-3 record, losing in the second round of the NCAA playoffs.

National champion North Dakota State made it a wire-to-wire #1 ranking for the year. The team the Bison beat in Saturday's title game, Towson finishes as the #2 team. New Hampshire finishes the year #5.
