UMaine hockey lost its regular season finale at Boston College 2-1 and will finish in 6th place in the Hockey East standings.

The Black Bears finish with a 1-11-3 record in HE and 16-14-4. The Bears get to host #11 UNH in a best-of-three series beginning Friday night at Alfond Arena.

In Saturday night's finale, Boston College scored a goal in the first period and then a powerplay goal in the second period. Maine scored a powerplay goal by Rob Michel late in the third.

Jeremy Swayman made 28 saves for the Bears in net. John Woll made 24 for BC.
