Make it a weekend sweep for the UMaine hockey team over Vermont. Saturday afternoon it was a 4-1 win over the Catamounts.

After Vermont scored the first goal early in the game, Maine came back with two shorthanded goals - one by Cam Brown and one by Steven Swavely. The Bears then added a powerplay goal by Nolan Vesey to make it 3-1 Bears after one period.

There was no other scoring until an empty netter in the final seconds by Brady Campbell.

Maine goalie Matt Morris made 35 saves.

The Black Bears now are 2-8-3 (2-4 HE). Vermont is 3-8-2 (2-4-2 HE).
