Dustin Pedroia also went deep and drove in 3 runs. Mike Napoli, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Shane Victorino had the other homeruns.

Despite their struggles of late, it was the bullpen that saved the day for the Sox. Starter Allen Webster couldn't get out of the 3rd inning after giving up 7 runs on 6 hits. Manager John Farrell used 5 guys out of the pen who combined to allow only one run the rest of the way. Craig Breslow got the win while Koji Uehara picked-up his 6th save.

The Sox placed Alex Wilson on the 15-day DL with a thumb injury and sent Jose De La Torre back to Pawtucket. To take their place on the roster they called up Bradley Jr. and Brandon Workman who started the season in Portland with the SeaDogs.
