Boston’s Miller Needs Surgery [VIDEO]

The Red Sox bullpen suffered another loss with the news that Andrew Miller needs season-ending surgery.Miller injured his foot in Saturdays loss against the Angels while trying to cover home plate. The prognosis after meeting with a foot specialist in Boston on Monday is a torn ligament between the bones in his left foot. Miller is going to get a second opinion but the team is not optimistic a more positive outlook will be realized.

This season Miller appeared in 37 games posting an ERA of 2.64. He also struck out 48 in 30.2 innings.
