For the first time in the preseason the BOston Celtics took a loss, falling to the Raptors in Toronto 116-109.The Celtics shot the ball well but could not come up with enough defensive stops as the Raptors pulled away in the 4th quarter. Avery Bradley led Boston with 22 points as he and Marcus Thornton combined to make 8 3-pointers. Thornton ended the game with 19 points. Rookie point guard Marcus Smart logged the second most minutes at just over 30 in the game, finishing with 9 points, 7 assists, and just 3 turnovers.

Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozen were the high scorers for the Raptors with 18 points each.

The Celtics will turnaround and play the New York Knicks tonight in Connecticut.
