The Hampden Broncos meet the Mt. Blue Cougars today in a girls/boys doubleheader on this Martin Luther King Monday. Both games are live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.

This date, January 18th, and this opponent, Mt. Blue, has special significance. Back on this date in 2010 the Cougars beat the Bronco boys 58-48. It is the last time Hampden has lost a home game since. The streak is 52 consecutive wins at home.

On paper it appears to be a mismatch today. Hampden is 11-0 while Mt.Blue is struggling at 1-9. Tip time is 1:30pm.

FIrst, the Hampden and Mt. Blue girls meet at noon. This should be an interesting game with the Broncos seeded #5 with a 7-4 record but coming off a loss to top-ranked Lawrence.

The Cougars are #9 with a 3-6 record. Mt. Blue is coached by 500-win coach Gavin Kane.

The teams met back in December in Farmington. Hampden won by 8 points.

NOTE:  Both games air live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and 929theticket.com. Coverage begins at noon.
