Broncos, Witches, Tigers Scrimmage

The Hampden Broncos hosted the Brewer Witches and Gardiner Tigers on the brand new turf for a controlled scrimmage.

The controlled scrimmages allow coaches on the field to do more instruction. The three teams rotated 10-play drives.

Hampden will also host its exhibition game Friday night when the Hermon Hawks come to play on the new turf. The Broncos begin the regular season at Westbrook.

The Brewer Witches will next host Bangor in their exhibition game Friday night at Doyle Field. Coach Nick Arthers and the Witches will host Biddeford at Doyle Field in the season opener August 31st.

The Gardiner Tigers were 3-5 a year ago but made a playoff push, losing in the Class C regional final. Coach Joe White and his Tigers open the regular season at Morse HS in Bath.
