Somehow this win should have been a little easier for the Boston Celtics. The 109-106 victory over the lowly Atlanta Hawks Friday night was anything but easy.

Playing without Kemba Walker, out of action with the flu, the Celts got behind by 18 points in the first quarter. Eventually, the Celtics got the lead but it took a last second blacked shot by Daniel Theiss on a Trae Young three-point shot to finally close the door.

Jaylen Brown led the offense with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Gordon Hayward had 18 points and Enis Kanter had 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

Young led the Hawks with 28.

The Celtics improve to 24-8 while Atlanta drops to 7-28.
