The Boston Bruins hit the ice Sunday morning for their first practice in preparation for the Stanley Cup Finals. As it turns out, they will have lots of practice time.

The NHL now says the series between the Bruins and either San Jose or St.Louis will not start until Monday, May 27th. That's Memorial Day night.

Game 4: Monday, June 3 at 8 p.m. (San Jose, CA or St. Louis, MO)

Game 5: Thursday, June 6 at 8 p.m. (TD Garden, Boston, MA)

Game 6: Sunday, June 9 at 8 p.m. (San Jose, CA or St. Louis, MO)

Game 7: Wednesday, June 12 at 8 p.m. (TD Garden, Boston, MA)

The Bruins wrapped up their Eastern Conference Championship with a sweep over Carolina back in Thursday.

That's a long, long layoff.
