With injuries ravaging the Boston Bruins, the call has been made to the team's #1 draft pick back in June, David Pastrnak. He gets the call up from the Providence Bruins.

At 18-years-old, Pastrnak was the youngest player in the AHL. He had 5 goals and 13 assists for 18 points in 17 games.

He was the B's first round pick (#25 overall) this summer. He was impressive in rookie camp and practices but hurt his shoulder and did not get much playing time in preseason games.

The Bruins play the Pittsburgh Penquins tonight and the injury list for the B's includes Zdeno Chara, Adam McQuiad, Brad Marchand, Chris Kelly and David Krejci.
