Husson University basketball teams split their games with Castleton State with the men winning in overtime while the women lost their first conference game.Trevon Butler and Raheem Anderson each scored 24 points in helping the Eagles score the 85-75 win in overtime. Husson trailed for most of the game until taking a lead with four minutes to play. The teams exchanged baskets leading to the Eagles Aaron Willis hitting a pair of free throws with :57 seconds left to force overtime.

Anderson scored 6 points in overtime including a key 3-pointer. Mitch Worcester also hit a big shot from behind the arc while Butler added 5 points.

Husson improves to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the North Atlantic Conference.

Kissy Walker's team was not as fortunate as they struggled on the offensive end of the floor in a 62-54 loss to the Spartans. The 3-3 Eagles shot just 23% from the field and was hampered by foul trouble with Chandler Guerrette, Kylie Richards and Katy Brochu all fouling out of the game.

Guerrette scored a team high 13 points before departing. Despite trailing by 22 points in the second half, Husson battled back and to within eight late in the game. Castleton out rebounded the Eagles 53-39.
