Butler Gets 26, Eagles Win 17th

The Husson men's and women's basketball teams picked up conference wins on the road beating Maine Maritime Academy on Tuesday.Warren Caruso's Eagles improved to 17-2 overall and 11-1 in the North Atlantic Conference thanks to a 26 point, 5 steal, 6 rebound performance by Trevon Butler. Jason Burgo added 9 points and 11 rebounds. After taking a lead at halftime, the Eagles exploded for 60 points in the second half on their way to the 97-50 win. Husson's defense was also a factor as they forced the Mariners to turn it over 36 times.

The Husson women picked up their 9th conference win with a 53-49 victory while riding a 19 point night from freshman Chandler Guerrette. Vicki McIntyre added 13 points and 8 rebounds while point guard Samira Cruz had 12.

The Eagles are now 10-9 on the season and play at New England College on Friday.
