The UMaine Black Bears forced #1-in the-nation UNH to turn the ball over six time. But, Maine's offense could score just one touchdown. FInal score UNH 20 Maine 12.

The win for the Wildcats a perfect 8-0 CAA conference record, a 10-1 overall record and a likely #1 seed for the upcoming NCAA playoffs...and they keep the Brice-Cowell Musket.

For Maine, the loss means the Bears finish 4-4 in the CAA and 5-6 overall.

Maine's defense forced UNH quarterback Sean Goldrich into three interceptions and the Bears recovered three Wildcat fumbles.

But UM freshman QB Drew Belcher and the offense sputtered in the cold of Alfond Stadium all day. Belcher threw for just 92 yards and as a team the Bears rushed for just 87 yards. Maine was also penalized eight times for 94 yards.

UNH has now beaten Maine 12 times in the last 13 games.
