CLASS C: Boothbay Stays Perfect, Wins Class C State Title

The Boothbay Seahawks defeated the Penobscot Valley Howlers, 33-25, at the Cross Insurance Center on Saturday night, capping off a perfect 22-0 season while claiming their first state title since 1984.

Boothbay trailed 13-5 after the first quarter and 15-11 at halftime, but the Seahawks took the lead in the third quarter but didn't give it up.

Sophomore Glory Blethen led the Seahawks with 10 points, while her sister, senior captain Faith Blethen, scored 9. Junior guard Chloe Arsenault chipped in 8.

Junior captain Lexi Ireland scored a game-high 18 points for the Howlers.

The Howlers, the No. 4 seed from the North, ends its season at 18-5.
