Clifford’s ‘Cats Now Hornets [VIDEO]

Maine's Steve Clifford is now head coach of the NBA Charlotte Hornets...same team just a different name. In fact, the franchise has gone back to its old nickname it had before the team moved from Charlotte to New Orleans.

New Orleans changed to the Pelicans, Charlotte wanted its old nickname back and now it's official.

Clifford's Charlotte Bobcats finished 43-39 and made the playoffs as a #7 seed, losing to the Miami Heat in the first round. It was his first year as a NBA head coach. Clifford began his coaching career at Woodland HS.
