The Boston Bruins struggled to generate offense and as a result had their five game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets. After both teams scored in the first period the goalies for each team shut the door stopping several scoring chances and kept the game tied at 1 until late in the third period.
Matt Calvert scored his 5th goal of the season with about three minutes to play to break the tie, and added an empty netter to seal the win with :48 seconds to play.
The loss stops the Bruins win streak at five games. They will be in action again Tuesday when they travel to Dallas and play the Stars.
