Crowley Wins Weekly Awards, UM Stays At #20

University of Maine Field Hockey player Casey Crowley has been named the America East Player of the Week.  It is the third straight week that a Black Bear has won the award.

Crowley chipped in with seven points for the Black Bears in the 1-1 stretch for the team.  UMaine lost its first game of the season to Boston University on Friday before rebounding to win against UC Davis 6-0 in Boston on Saturday.  Crowley had a hat trick and an assist in the contest this past weekend against UC Davis.

UMaine stayed at #20 in the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Poll that was released on Tuesday morning with 170 total votes.

The Black Bears will host Bryant University on Friday afternoon and then welcomes #3 ranked North Carolina on Sunday morning.
