Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket is proud to announce the Sports Hero's Award winners for 2014 - Alan Dall, Martha Kulikowski and Durand Mailman.

All three winners have been heavily involved in their community sports programs,  volunteering many hours over the years. A special luncheon will be held for them on October 28th.

ALAN DALL (Bangor):  An active member of the Bangor Boosters Club for over 14 years. He is perhaps best known as the guy who cooks the french fries at games. Alan is described as a guy "who fixes things when they stop  working". He makes sure all the concessions are stocked and ready to go for all sports. Alan has also coach youth softball.

MARTHA KULIKOWSKI (Belfast):  Martha is president of the Belfast Boosters Club. In recent months the boosters have fundraised and built a new concessions stand. She is the one sending out emails, making phone calls and helping to raise money recruiting volunteers. After games she can be seen helping out to pick up trash. Martha has also been involved with Little League and Legion baseball.

DURAND MAILMAN (Corinth):  Durand has been a volunteer for Corinth recreation department and RSU 64 sports programs for 15 years. Some of his time has been as a coach in farm league and soccer. He helps maintain fields, volunteering time before and after games. Durand helped build soccer goal nets for rec use in recent months.

This is the 2nd annual Sports Hero's Awards program. A partnership between Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and Hero's Sports Grill in Bangor with the goal to recognize and honor community sports volunteerism.
