Dance, Throckmorton, Smith Receive ECAC Honors

Postseason honors continue to roll in for Husson football players following their historic season with three selected to the ECAC North All-Star teams.Bangor native Ellis Throckmorton was named to the first team after making 90 tackles from his linebacker position. He also had five and a half sacks and an interception. The Eagles Sophomore was also a captain on this years team.

Senior safety Stephan Dance and freshman running back John Smith were named to the ECAC second team. Dance who was also named the conference Defensive Player of the Year had 74 tackles and two interceptions.

Smith exploded on the scene in game three of the season and finished with 1,408 yards and 13 touchdowns. He rushed for over 100 yards in eight straight games for the Eagles who finished the season with an 8-2 record while playing and hosting its first ever NCAA tournament game.
