After winning 12 straight games the Husson University baseball team saw its streak come to an end at the hands of the University of Southern Maine who beat the Eagles 17-3.The Huskies who are ranked 21st in the nation racked up 20 hits and took advantage of 6 Husson errors on their way to the win. Junior shortstop Sam Dexter led the USM attack going 3-6 at the plate with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Devin Warren came off the bench to collect 4 hits and drive in 3 for the Huskies who improve to 12-6 on the season.

The Husson offense could never string hits together as they were held in check by USM starter Nick George who allowed just 5 hits over the first 5 innings.

Dennis O'Neil took the loss on the mound after giving up 8 hits over 3 innings. Only 3 of the 8 runs he allowed were earned.

Husson is now 14-8 and play Thomas College in a conference double-header at the Winkin Complex tomorrow.
