Being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft is a major accomplishment no matter what pick you land between #1 and #32.  But if you think about it, there are major differences between being selected at those two slots.

If you're taken at #1 you'll receive a huge contract with a large signing bonus, you'll have endorsement deals up to your eyeballs, and you'll always be able to say "I was a #1 pick in the NFL".  The downfall is that you're probably going to the worst team in the league which is why they ended up with the top spot to begin with.

If you're taken at #32 you'll still receive a good amount of money, but the bonus isn't nearly in the same range and the endorsement deals could be tough to come by.  On the plus-side, you're going to the defending Super Bowl champion and a team that is usually ready to contend right away.
