Make it seven straight wins for the Boston Red Sox after a 5-0 whitewash of the Texas Rangers last night.

J.D. Martinez smashed a three-run home run and Steve Pearce ripped a two-run shot to provide the offense.

Eduardo Rodriguez and the bullpen did the job on the hill.

The win puts the Sox at 63-29, 2 1/2 games ahead of the Yankees in the AL East.

For Martinez, his 8th inning homer was his MLB leading 28th. He now has a MLB leading 77 RBI.

For Steve Pearce, his 1st inning home run was his first since joining the Sox after the trade from Toronto.

E-Rod pitched 5.2 innings of shutout ball and the bullpen added 3.1 innings of no-run ball.

Tough to complain about anything from Fenway last night!
