Eagles Go 1-1 Through New Hampshire
Husson University basketball teams both go 1-1 in North Atlantic Conference games in New Hampshire this weekend. It leaves the men's team with a one game lead for the top spot. The women's team falls three games back.
Husson Men 80 Colby-Sawyer 63: After losing at New England College Friday night, the Eagles got back on track Saturday afternoon against the Chargers. Husson outscored Colby-Sawyer 20-7 in the last nine minutes.
Raheem Anderson scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Mitch Worcester had 18 off the bench.
The Eagles are now 12-2 in the NAC, 16-5 overall.
Colby-Sawer Women 80 Husson 72: After winning at NEC Friday night, coach Kissy Walker's Eagles came up short Saturday afternoon against the Chargers. The Eagles led by 12 at halftime but Colby-Sawyer outscored Husson by 20 points in quarters three and four.
The Chargers shot 54% from the field, the Eagles just 38%.
Colby-Sawyer put five players in double-digit scoring while Sami Ireland had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles.
Husson falls to 10-4 NAC and 12-9 overall.
