Final 20 Spots Filled For Maine Golf Championship
The field is set for next month's Maine State Amateur Golf Championship. The final 20 spots were filled at the third and final qualifier, this one at PVCC in Orono. Waterville's Michael Bouchard and Falmouth's Josh Hogan had the top scores. Both shot 1-under-par 71.
Ralpn Backman Sr shot an even par 72.
A father-son combo both made the top 20 - Tim Estabrook shot a 77, his son Ben fired a 73.
The state championship is July 9-11 at Augusta CC.
