Former UMaine goalie Scott Darling got his first NHL shutout last night in a 1-0 Chicago win over the New York Rangers. Darling made 25 saves, including one big save as the horn sounded to end the game.

Darling is now 7-3 with a GAA of 1.96 as the backup goalie for Corey Crawford. Last night's start at Madison Square Garden was his first since February 27th.

Darling played in 54 games at Maine from 2008 to 2010.
