Former Portland Seadog Xander Bogaerts has been named the #1 prospect of the Boston Red Sox by Baseball America. Now the question is - will he start the year as Sox shortstop or third baseman.

Baseball America publication and website ranks every MLB team and their prospects. It is interesting to note that BA lists young lefty pitcher Henry Owens as #2 prospect. He finished 2013 at Double A Portland.

Jackie Bradley Jr is listed #3 prospect and could be the opening day centerfielder for the Sox.

Many Bangor area baseball fans remember Bogaerts when he played at the Senior League World Series at Mansfield Stadium when he was a 16-year-old player for Team Aruba.

Check out the BA Red Sox top 10 list...and a reminder, Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket presents "Allenfarm Fence Company's An Evening World Champion David Ross" on January 15th at Gracie Theater in Bangor. Tickets are available on this website.
