The sounds of bouncing basketballs in high school gyms all over the state rang in the changing of the sports seasons as Monday was the first day of tryouts for winter teams.The high school basketball season will tip-off on Friday December 4th so lots of work needs to be completed such as the selection of teams. In Brewer coach Clayton Blood ran prospective players through drills as he hopes to improve on the teams 7-11 mark a year ago.

This season also marks the start of the new fifth class as the largest schools in the state play in the newly created Class AA. That is where the Bangor Rams will compete in the upcoming season.
